I am an independent marketing contractor. For the convenience of my clients, I made the mistake of recommending Paychex to keep their accounts in order.
Not only have I received complaints from my clients with regard to how expensive they are, but I additionally have my own complaints. The mantra at Paychex MUST BE, "We don't care about our clients or their employees". The account managers are CONSTANTLY unavailable. "On vacation" "Out of the office" "Won't be back for a month".
Turning now to the employee experience, not only are they outright rude to employees requesting simple information like "Where is my money? My employer paid you, but you didn't pay me". The response I received for that inquiry this morning was "Ask your employer", to which I replied" I did, they said they paid you". This representative, Ingrid H.
just short of told me to F*%# off then disconnected. I will be immediately requesting that my clients fire Paychex. I am absolutely in awe of how disrespectful this company is, how poorly they consider their clients and their clients employees and how unforgivably rude they are.
Do not use this company. If you are an employee and your employer selects this company, I urge you to express the importance of switching to a competitor like ADP.

FOR YOUR SECURITY STAY AWAY
Having met a Paychex current employee, she has no regard for patient private information. While visiting a family member, this employee was facetiming friends and speaking out loud bank information.
While the employee was speaking information, she was writing client's bank information down on a yellow note pad and leaving it out in the open for other guest to see client's personal information. She bragged about smoking marijuana while taking care of clients. Muting them and being disrespectful, saying this is America if I can't understand them they need to learn English. On this day, she had a call from what she said was a Russian client.
She then mentioned, and verbal trash talked about her clients to a group of people at the place she is living and verbally bashing her Boss and some of her co workers. She also was showing how she took a picture of Certain famous sister's name and info and showing them the picture that I also saw. She then leaves the yellow note pad with bank info where anyone can see and take their information.
This is awful. She needs to be fired!!

Paychex continuing health benefits coverage is the worst! It's been a month and for starters I don't think anyone is actually working their customer service/help line.
We have called multiple times only to be on hold for upwards of an hour and then the call is dropped. We have never actually been able to get through to someone. Then as pricey as these plans are, they were happy to cash our checks early on in the month and we just received paperwork to make sure we keep paying...but we keep being told by pharmacy and doctors that it shows we have no coverage. I find that ridiculous.
Through an email with help from my husband last employer, we were told that we do have coverage and we can file claims later???! Seriously?
It seems like their job to ensure we have the continuing coverage we paid for (and again they didn't forget to cash the checks) and not require us to backtrack and go after money we have to pay out of pocket when we just paid an astronomical price for continuing coverage. Mind you it is now the end of the month.

my experience as a long time customer has been similar. Service has really deteriorated.
